Improvement of Virginia's U.S. 460 could cost $1.8B

Virginia hopes a private company will partner with the state to rebuild a section of U.S. 460 -- work that could cost up to $1.8 billion. The state also is working with the Virginia Port Authority to see if it could help with funding. "The port has some very aggressive expansion plans at its terminals; however, we cannot sustain that expansion without better transportation links," said Virginia Secretary of Transportation Sean Connaughton."
