MTV sees curation as a way through mobile clutter

The sudden growth of information sources across an array of mobile platforms and devices is overwhelming consumers, lending even greater importance to the functions of curation and crowdsourcing, Dermot McCormack, executive vice president of digital media at MTV Networks, said at the OMMA Mobile conference in New York. "There is only so much time people have to find out what they should be paying attention to," McCormack said. "From a publisher's perspective, you have to think about how you get your message in through 9,000 tweets."
