UV nail polish dryers can raise skin cancer risk

Devices in salons that use ultraviolet light to dry nail polish could raise customers' risk of skin cancer, dermatologists say. The damage can add up over time. "It's still UV exposure, and you want to minimize that as much as you can," said Dr. Darrell Rigel, clinical professor of dermatology at New York University Langone Medical Center.
