Sources: DISH wants to create online alternative to pay TV

DISH Network is said to be negotiating with Viacom, Univision and Scripps Networks Interactive about licensing their TV programming for a Web-based TV service. The over-the-top offering would offer a smaller bundle of live channels than is typically offered by pay-TV providers, and would be accessible via desktop or tablet. None of the companies commented on the potential deals.
