Antibodies from sharks could help fight breast cancer

An antibody believed to be found only in sharks, known as IgNAR, may help treat breast cancer, and University of Aberdeen biologists are conducting a three-year study to investigate. The antibody is thought to inhibit two cancer cell surface molecules, preventing them from initiating growth of cancer cells.
