CFTC reportedly sets votes on speculation, customer funds

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission reportedly plans to vote in October on regulations relating to the protection of customer funds, as well as on speculation in markets such as oil and natural gas, according to two sources familiar with the situation. The regulatory body has been debating the customer-fund rules for more than a year, while the speculation rules are being considered in response to a successful legal challenge to previous regulations.
