FDA offers about $3.5M in grants to advance pediatric devices

Seven pediatric-device consortia will share more than $3.5 million in grants from the FDA to support the advancement of pediatric medical devices through all development stages. "At each stage, the consortia will assess and provide meaningful feedback about the scientific and medical merit of proposed pediatric device products," said Dr. Gayatri Rao, director of the FDA's Office of Orphan Products Development.
