Google introduces new algorithm to bolster search

Google says it has finalized a complete overhaul of the highly complex algorithm that powers its platform, marking the most radical upgrade to the company's search technology in more than a decade. The new formula, called Hummingbird, is designed to facilitate more intuitive searches that make better sense of language and syntax rather than simply matching keywords in a search query to the same words on Web pages.
