General Electric is pushing doctors in the Cincinnati area to convert to "medical homes," which involves gaining access to patients' medical records in order to better coordinate their care, observers say. The strategy is part of GE's efforts to leverage its size in order to reduce costs and improve care for workers. "If we don't take accountability ourselves for figuring this out, we're part of the problem," GE executive Sue Siegel said.
