Industry, overseas regulators urge delay in SEF deadline

Derivatives dealers and some overseas regulators have called for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to delay requiring operators of swap-execution facilities to meet next week's registration deadline. Regarding the Wednesday deadline, ISDA CEO Robert Pickel said, "The reality is that across-the-board compliance with rules across a range of transactions is not really going to be achievable with SEFs."
