IPCC releases climate change report; says storm intensity will increase

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has released its report based on assessments of thousands of published papers on climate research. The panel concluded -- again -- that climate change is "unequivocal," and that emissions from human activity are in large part responsible. "Climate change will probably increase storm intensity and size simultaneously, resulting in a significant intensification of storm surges," the report notes.
