Report raises concerns over NATO readiness

With the U.S. focusing its naval resources more in the Asia-Pacific region, NATO allies' readiness to handle maritime work around Europe is increasingly in question, according to a new report. "[Q]uestions are increasingly arising about the capabilities of NATO's European navies to project power and sustain operations around their eastern and southern maritime flanks," says the American Enterprise Institute report titled "NATO at Sea, Trends in Allied Naval Power."
