Study: Gestational diabetes raises sleep apnea risk

Gestational diabetes was associated with a nearly sevenfold increased risk of sleep apnea in women, according to a small study in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism. Researchers also found patients with gestational diabetes were more likely than those without the disease to sleep an hour less per night on average.
