Philly schools seek partnerships with religious communities

Philadelphia schools CEO Paul Vallas wants every one of the district's 276 schools to be adopted by a nearby church, mosque, temple or synagogue, which could provide secular support to students in such areas as safety, academic guidance and career help. Experts predict the partnerships will probably be challenged in court, but say the outcome is anybody's guess.
