Seattle finds it hard to recruit minority educators

Seattle Public Schools has been unable to attract more minority teachers to the district, where 59% of the enrollment but only 20% of the teaching staff is non-white. Seattle University education professor David Marshak says as more career sectors open up to minority college grads, fewer young blacks are opting for the relatively low-paying field of teaching.
