Stress test helps predict future heart attacks for men, study shows

Exercise stress tests not only can help screen for people with significant coronary artery disease but also can help predict future heart attacks in people with multiple risk factors, even if they don't have heart disease, a new study says. Researchers say poor performance on an exercise treadmill test more than doubled the risk for a heart attack and other coronary artery events in otherwise symptom-free men with heart disease risk factors.
