Study: Job status may play role in risk of diabetes

A person's professional ranking may play a role in their risk for diabetes, a new study says. Researchers observing data on middle-aged, white-collar workers in the U.K. found 9% of men and 7% of women in clerical and office support job grades risked developing diabetes, compared with 3% and 2%, respectively, of those in higher, administrative grades.
