Developer accepts recommended reduction of Atlantic Yards

Forest City Ratner, the developer of the controversial Atlantic Yards project in Brooklyn, has accepted city planners' recommendations that the project be scaled back 8% and that certain building designs be changed. The developer has reportedly committed to ensuring that at least 30% of the apartments built during the project's first phase would be below-market rental units.
