Study: IBD increases risk of death from C. difficile

A new study shows patients with inflammatory bowel disease are four times more likely to die from C. difficile infection compared to people without IBD. Researchers also found patients with IBD and C. difficile had higher rates of endoscopy and longer hospital stays than patients with only one of the diseases.
