As App Store passes 2B mark, analyst sees changes

Apple's online App Store reached the 2-billion mark Monday, just five months after achieving its 1-billion milestone, the iPhone maker said. The downloadable-app market is changing, according to Anuj Khanna, CEO of Wireless Expertise, a U.K. consulting firm. He predicted that the huge demand for software would spark a move to more paid apps, which would set off a chain reaction of events among wireless carriers and handset makers.
