Expert: HHS should strengthen coordination between 2 offices

As the HHS polishes the "meaningful use" criteria for health IT, it should strengthen the coordination between its Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT and its Office of Civil Rights, said Deven McGraw, director of the Health Privacy Project at the Center for Democracy and Technology. Tightening coordination between these offices would help limit future privacy and security risks, McGraw said.
