Natural gas producers seek more incentives in Senate's climate bill

Natural gas companies are pushing for more incentives in the Senate's climate change legislation that promote increased usage of the fuel. This comes after the House-approved bill contained more provisions designed to aid renewable-energy sources and the coal sector. Natural gas products should play a bigger role in the Senate measure, company executives said, because they can do more to curb greenhouse-gas emissions and reduce U.S. dependence on foreign oil.
