School polices student Internet use away from school

A private school in the Detroit area has expanded its policies on student Internet use to include activity that occurs away from school. Inappropriate Internet postings on social-networking sites, such as Twitter and Facebook, can lead to expulsion from the school, but some question whose role it is to monitor students during off hours.
