Textron may look for acquisitions, says CEO-elect

Textron may expand its horizons once the company pays down its debt, said incoming CEO Scott Donnelly, who will take office on Dec. 1. The manufacturer of Cessna planes, Bell helicopters and E-Z-GO golf carts may look at mergers and acquisitions outside of the aerospace and defense industries. Textron's plans to exit its unprofitable finance unit are ahead of schedule.
