Begich: I will use all means to get U.S. response on Alaska drilling

Sen. Mark Begich, D-Alaska, might block an Obama administration nominee until the federal government explains its rules on offshore oil and natural gas drilling in Alaska, a move similar to one made by Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La. Landrieu has halted the confirmation of Jacob Lew as U.S. budget chief until the government alters its moratorium on deepwater drilling. "All we are asking for is a very simple thing: Tell us what the rules are and give us a timetable," Begich said.
