ConocoPhillips' Mulva touts role of natural gas in creating jobs

The rise in natural gas demand in the U.S. can help the economy bounce back as well as generate jobs, said James Mulva, chairman and CEO of ConocoPhillips. "Natural gas is an overlooked job-creation machine," he said during his speech at Rice University's Baker Institute for Public Policy. Mulva also urged lawmakers to craft a comprehensive energy plan "that allows all sources to compete on the basis of abundance, cost, efficiency and environmental merit."
