Teens may view sports drinks as healthy option, study suggests

Researchers say teenagers with healthy habits prefer sugar-sweetened sports and fruit drinks to sodas, even though "in terms of health benefits, there is not much difference." The study of 15,000 students found those who drank sports drinks but not soda had healthier habits, indicating the drinks are perceived as being part of a healthy lifestyle.
