Calif. Academy of Sciences earns second LEED Platinum from USGBC

A second LEED Platinum has been awarded to the California Academy of Sciences by the U.S. Green Building Council three years after the museum earned its first LEED certification for its sustainable construction, which included installation of an energy-efficient green roof. The facility received its second certification under the USGBC's "Existing Buildings: Operation & Maintenance" category, which recognizes buildings for their environment-friendly daily operations.
