Consumer survey shows lack of concern about sodium intake

A consumer survey by the International Food Information Council, presented at the American Dietetic Association's annual conference, showed that 59% of people were not concerned about how much sodium they consume and that 70% did not know recommended dietary guidelines for it. A second survey conducted for the ADA found that 49% of people said they were doing all they could to have a healthy diet.
