HHS program ups compensation for docs who adopt coordinated care

The HHS on Wednesday unveiled the Comprehensive Primary Care Initiative meant to raise Medicare payments to physicians who incorporate a coordinated care model in their practice. The CMS will select five to seven health care markets that will be monitored over a four-year demonstration period set to begin next year.
