Lack of planning leaves SMBs vulnerable to data loss

The majority of small and midsized businesses in the U.S. have not had outside tests of their websites' ability to withstand a cyber-attack, according to a survey from Newtek Business Services. The report also found that a minority of companies have adequately backed up their data. Researchers say the survey of 1,200 small-business owners reflects a lack of adequate preparedness despite increasing concerns about potential data loss.
