Piston Cloud Computing debuts with an OpenStack offering

A former architect of NASA's cloud-computing program is testing his hand in the private sector with the launch of a new company, Piston Cloud Computing, aimed at creating products to help businesses to deploy private clouds. The company's flagship offering -- called PentOS -- is based on the open-source OpenStack cloud operating system and aims to increase solution automation in the cloud, according to company founder Joshua McKenty.
