Study: Hitting goals for potassium, sodium isn't feasible

Reaching target goals for both potassium and sodium while complying with the rest of the government's dietary guidelines is "mathematically impossible," University of Washington researchers reported at the American Dietetic Association's annual conference. Their study found that only nine of 20,000 people surveyed met intake targets for both potassium and sodium and that they all had diets that were lacking in other areas.
