Tuskegee Airmen member revisits P-51C Mustang as passenger

James Sheppard, 87, took a ride over the weekend in a Red Tail P-51C Mustang in Biddeford, Maine. Sheppard, a member of the Tuskegee Airmen, had not been inside a P-51C since World War II, but enjoyed the flight out of Biddeford Municipal Airport. "It was pretty nice. You don't forget the feeling," he said. The Tuskegee Airmen hold a place in history as the first black pilots to serve in the U.S. military.
