Vaccine production is on the rise

The vaccine arm of pharmaceutical companies grew 14% between 2009 and 2010, and the value of animal vaccine production is expected to increase more than $1 billion by 2015. Vaccine production is growing due to increased demand from developing countries, as well as a boom in vaccine research as scientists face a wide swath of pathogens and look to develop vaccines that will produce the exact immune response desired in both humans and animals.
