Pennsylvania is adding jobs, collecting revenue and reducing carbon emissions because of shale natural gas production, which is also lowering energy costs for consumers, writes Kathryn Klaber, president and executive director of the Marcellus Shale Coalition. "We've entered a new chapter of American history. Our nation is now isolated from major swings in natural-gas prices and is dramatically more secure and competitive," she writes. "Consumers are clear winners of responsible shale gas development, and so too is our region's manufacturing base."
