Experts converge in S.C. for sonography conference

The Second World Congress on Ultrasound in Medical Education was held at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine this past weekend, bringing 500 people from 21 countries and 82 universities to the school. The benefits of sonography, combined with technological advances including smaller machines and advanced software, have the modality gaining popularity among clinicians, and USC is a leader in teaching medical students about the technology, officials say.
