Chiron CEO reassures Congress of flu vaccine supply

The CEO of Chiron, a major supplier this year of the influenza vaccine for Americans, told a Senate panel the company would be able to ship nearly 48 million doses, almost half the nation's supply, in October and that last year's strain on supplies would not be repeated. Still, Americans remain concerned they will not have access to the drug when they need it, despite health campaigns encouraging as many inoculations as possible as quickly as possible.
