MTVN looks to better understand online-video engagement

MTV Networks has entered into a multiyear agreement with Visible Measures, a company that tracks the success of online videos, to quantify the engagement level for sites such as MTV.com, Nick.com, ComedyCentral.com, VH1.com and Spike.com. The technology will allow MTVN to gauge how much video surfers watch, whether they fast-forward and when they click away from the video.
