Many nations allow cell phone use on planes while U.S. says "no"

Although domestic airlines are rewiring cabins for Wi-Fi connectivity and making other preparations to allow passengers to use cell phones while flying across the U.S., if and when cell phones will be allowed is still up in the air. Meanwhile, many foreign airlines are already allowing passengers to make and receive calls on their cell phones.
