H&M to delay some store openings as construction slows

H&M said Wednesday it will delay plans for some new stores next year amid a construction slowdown that has impacted the apparel chain's ability to find prime locations, especially in southern Europe. The company, which operates about 2,000 stores worldwide, saw double-digit same-store sales increases recently, but new store openings have historically contributed to H&M's profit growth.
