Oregon veterinarian wins award for work on pet endoscopy

Tim McCarthy, a veterinarian from Beaverton, Ore., advocates the use of scopes as an alternative to surgery in dogs, the subject of his book, "Veterinary Endoscopy for the Small Animal Practitioner." In August, McCarthy was presented with AVMA's Practitioner Research Award, which acknowledges veterinarians for their medical-research achievements.
