Study: Text alerts improve health outcomes in dermatology patients

A recent study suggested that sending text messages to remind patients who have atopic dermatitis to take their medications can lead to better treatment adherence and patient outcomes. According to the study, 72% of patients were better motivated to follow their skin care regimens and 76% reported improvements in their skin condition after receiving daily text alerts for six weeks.
