Business aircraft can be equipped with in-flight monitoring

Business aircraft can now be equipped with sophisticated in-flight monitoring systems. "Typically, depending on the vintage of the airplane and the amount of digital information available, hundreds of parameters are monitored automatically," said Dick Hayden, president of AeroMechanical Services Ltd. The company's Automated Flight Information Reporting System can also be retrofitted for analog aircraft.
