Judge rejects United pilots' request to delay new policies

The union that represents United Airlines' pilots had requested a temporary restraining order that would delay new flight operation policies and procedures at the newly merged United Continental Holdings. A federal judge, however, rejected the union's request, saying that its claim that the changes would result in "a risk of diminished flight safety" was overly speculative.
