Lehman reaches deals with Merrill Lynch and BofA

Bank of America and Merrill Lynch pledged support for Lehman Brothers Holdings' plan to exit bankruptcy as part of their settlement with the collapsed bank. The settlements will significantly reduce the banks' claims against Lehman. For example, Bank of America's derivatives claims against Lehman will be cut by about $4.5 billion.
