Just as more physicians are turning to telemedicine solutions to treat and diagnose patients, a growing number of psychotherapists are using technologies such as Skype to conduct full sessions with their clients in lieu of face-to-face meetings. Thanks to companies such as Breakthrough.com and CaliforniaLiveVisit.com, the rise of "Web therapy" is providing access to fast service with no need to travel. However, experts say the services may not be for everyone, as the intimacy of a therapy session can't be fully replicated on screen.
