Va. high-speed rail project receives $44.3M in federal funding

A planned high-speed rail route from Richmond, Va., to Washington, D.C., moves closer to reality with a $44.3 million federal grant from the Transportation Department. The goal is to develop high-speed rail in Southeast regions and connect it to the proposed Northeast Corridor high-speed rail project.
