CEO: Starbucks "cannot be content with the status quo"

Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz is focused on the future as the chain continues its growth trajectory with new stores, global expansion and new menu items that take the brand from a morning hot spot to an all-day eatery. Some 60% of the 1,500 new U.S. stores slated to open in the next five years will have a drive-thru format, and the acquisitions of Evolution Fresh and La Boulange have given the chain a way to diversify the menu with juices, upscale baked goods and healthier dishes.
