ExxonMobil awards services contract for Russian LNG project

CB&I U.K. and Foster Wheeler Energy have secured contracts from ExxonMobil and Rosneft to carry out early design work on a proposed liquefied natural gas project in Russia. The project is expected to yield 5 million tons of LNG annually if it is constructed. "With our initial (front-end engineering and design) contractors on board now we will see the project begin to take shape in a matter of months," said Rosneft President Igor Sechin.
